Anne O'DonoghueAs a therapist I create a warm and welcoming environment in which you are able to really relax, giving great care to ensure your modesty and comfort. Therapeutic Massage is a holistic therapy that treats the whole person. You are a unique individual with individual needs, so each treatment will be geared specifically to you.

At your first session you will be asked to provide relevant information regarding your health and lifestyle. This will ensure I can deliver a customised treatment plan to suit your needs, which may include one, or a combination of the therapies listed below.
A range of GMO, preservative, parabens and chemical additive free products are used for your treatment. These come in a variety of difference fragranced and non-fragranced products to suit your mood or preference.

I am currently offering either a full body massage (60 minutes) or back and shoulders (30 minutes). The type of massage will be agreed following our initial discussion and will be tailored to meet your specific needs. Treatments could include a range of different massage types including:

Swedish Massage

This is the most common type of massage and involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes on topmost layers of your muscles. This type of massage is designed to relax, de-stress and achieves a state of deep relaxation.

About Anne

I have previously worked in a range of roles ranging from recruitment, logistics and IT, often working in very stressful and competitive environments.

Over the past 25 years I have benefitted greatly from many different complementary therapies for a range of conditions including stress and back / neck problems which has fuelled my passion for holistic healthcare. In 2010, I decided to turn my passion into a new career and trained as a massage therapist. I qualified in 2012 (VTCT) as part of a longer term plan to bring the wider benefits of these therapies to others.

I am a fully insured member of the Complementary Therapy Association abiding by their strict codes of ethics.

In addition to providing massage treatments at Abergavenny Complementary Health Centre, I also offer treatments from my home clinic in Cwmbran.

In my spare time I enjoy Tai Chi, swimming, singing with a local mixed voice choir, gardening and studying many aspects of holistic health care.
